Music Speaks

Why is music something that inspires us in our day to day lives? It lives within us and sends a message through rhythm and lyrics.  Ever catch yourself in a sad or lonely mood, or vise versa  happy…and that one song that automatically triggers your mood and helps you go throughout your day.  Music can have different meanings to different people but has the power to affect all of our moods and emotions.  Music is a beautiful thing that can be found where you least expect it, stop and take the time to listen to the music around you.  Whether its while your in a store shopping, on the radio while your driving, the sounds of the waves at the beach, the trees blowing in the wind, or the drummer boy who cant stop tapping his foot while sitting in class, music is everywhere around us. Music is just our interpretation of our sense of sound, you just have to listen for it. When you find your music today....stop, take it all in, close your eyes, feel the beat within you and let the music speak to your soul.

Ying to my Yang

Kesli and I meet 3 falls ago during our college internship and have been friends ever since! Partially because our internship was in styling and fashion show production which forced us to spend a good 80+ hrs a week together...side by side...amigo amigas. She was my partner in crime and think I would have lost my mind during those few months if it was not for her. Whether she liked it or not, she fastly became the ying to my yang.

She came over the other day to try on her new custom boots and brought her precious pooch Baylor...who of course got some Baylor colored feathers of his own...and then when Kesli took out her 2 day old ponytail and that fro popped out! I flipped!! and we just could not resist going to the park and doing an impromptu shoot with her and Baylors matching fros! We still had the SH+LS sample skirts from a previous shoot the day before so we went for it!

Since we do not have a professional camera as of yet...our iPhone 4 had to do. I used the free PEStudio editing app and the above photos are the result! Not to shabby if I do say so myself. FJ Photography is now in session and taking appointments!

Fall 2012 Internship

This one is for you DFW junkies! It is decided that this Fall will be the first year of our internship program! School credit welcome. Personal development also welcome.

Pinterst Contest

Its contest time and we were contemplating on what to do this time around and since we have been obsessed with pinning we figured why not a Pinterest contest since we're pretty sure we're not the only ones obsessed!

Here's how to enter:

On The Road....

Were hitting the road feather junkies!

We're going to be out of the office from June 6 - 11 and lets just say were looking for some inspiration!! We will be return back Tuesday, June 12 and return all messages, emails and fulfill/ship all orders. Thank you so much for your patience with us during this time! 

If your on the road keep a look out for us! We will be traveling through several states and have the feather mobile tagged up! If you spot us, take a photo and upload it to Facebook or Instagram and we will send your some FREE FEATHERS!
